I'd like to know for future reference if there is a company that makes reproduction upholstery for '88-'92 Camaros with the custom interior option. That weave upholstery is my favorite look by far, and I want to know that if I find a solid car with a trashed inside, can I get reproduction upholstery for it??

I have been looking for nice grey seats for about a year can haven't found any source save for custom ($$) upholstery shops. But I found a 96 Camaro in a bone yard with 30K miles and the near perfect seats dropped right into my 88 IROC.

 

I know that the weave of the 4th gen camaros is VERY similar to the 3rd gens...but i want to keep this car as close to stock as possible....maybe i should just make sure i find a car with a mint interior???

 

there are too many different styles of fabrics used in 3rdgens for them to be available reproduction anytime soon... your best bet is to either find a car with mint interior, or get one with some wear and have a patch sewed in..

There is a Chevy dealership in Gainesville, Ga that will sell you a set of production cloth seat covers to replace yours for $300 dollars per seat. That is just for the fronts. I opted for the leather seats from mrmikes.com and it cost $600 to have all my seats redone in leather.

Another option to think about is to find the material you want and send it to mrmikes for him to make your covers.
