T-top swap?
Well i dont know from first hand experience, but i imagine its gonna cost you an arm and a leg, and really compromise the body's strength. From what i hear, adding an aftermarket sunroof or t-tops severly messes up body strength, and promotes flexing. So i assume switching roofs may be the same...but i might be wrong...like i said i dont know from first hand experience.
whoever does it better be a damn good welder. the roof structure is what gives the car most of its stiffness. i lent my 86 t/a to a friend and of course they wrecked it. anyway the firemen took the jaws of life to the front A?pillars and folded the roof back. after the car was towed to my house i had it in the yard with both doors open. i got in the drivers seat and a friend plopped down in the pass. seat. well, the car procceded to bend in the middle till the middle was touching the ground. take that into consideration when you cut the roof off the good car. make sure the center of the car is supported!!

My friends 1983 Trans Am has t-tops and I had aftermaket ones put on 1990 Firebird. I have felt the twisting on both cars. The only way I have found out to stop this swisting is to get sub-frames. It made a difference in the 1983. I'll be next. If you do decide to get aftermaket ones make sure to get references.
