New Paint

Just had it done at Maaco. The local one here was doing urethane plus integrated clear for 300. Charged for the sealer/primer, but talked them into doing sanding and chip repair for free. Saw a small amount of orange peel under the louvers, but obviously I don't care about that. Was a little more towards the front of the hood and a drip on the rear bumper that's pretty ridiculous, but it will come out. All together it was certainly worth the money. Some paint sealer/wax in a few months once its all cured and I'll be satisfied.

They also took the time to vacuum the carpet and clean up the front wheels. Maybe its because they got the wheels dirty, but they took a lot of dirt and corrosion off from the car sitting many years.

Re: New Paint

I can't believe only $300...great price for a great paint job!

(you may consider yourself quite the plenipotentiary for Maaco now... )

I'd be interested to see a BEFORE pic if you have one, just to see how much of an upgrade the new paint job was.

Congrats! looks real good.

I did the jams myself a long time ago when I went black with the interior so I didn't pay Maaco to do them again. From what I understand there is an additional charge to do them.

$300 isn't bad, even if you will have to have it redone once a year! LOL!

Re: New Paint

the paint job looks great! The black lining on the outer rims make the rims look like tiny 14 inchers from a distance tho.
