T-Tops Severly leaking

Does anyone else have it rain inside their car like mine does? I have 1 small cut in each side of my t-top weather stripping, but it literally POURS inside my car. I love the T-tops but im regretting buying a car with them because sooooo much water gets in. Is smearing the crap out of the back of the weather stripping with silicone the only way to stop the flood??? It is pouring right now and I want to fix this problem so the car doesn't rust from the inside out!!!! HELP!!!

Go get a water proof cover to put on it. Water PROOF. Not resistant or repellent.

@jas2730 Do you mean a cover over the whole top of the car?? Im trying to get away from a temporary fix and get it done the right way.

I'm talking about a full car cover. No matter what you do it will be a temporary fix including replacing the weather stripping. These things just leak over time. Unless the silicone you use stays really soft and pliable it will probably make things worse.

P.S. If you want it done right start looking for a weather stripping kit in the $400 range. And if you let it set outside unprotected you can buy it again in 3 1/2 to 4 years.

Re: T-Tops Severly leaking

i was going to follow the post in the tech section on resetting the existing weather stripping. If i can get it to stop leaking for 3+ years and have to redo it again, id be happy. Right now i live in an apartment building with just a driveway. Im looking for a place with a garage. Im getting sick of birds crapping all over my nice car too!!!
