Rear Quater Panel Patch.
Hi,
Just wondering would anyone know is it possible to get a quater panel bottom section. The piece below the light on the panel. The driver side on mine is rotted through on the bottom. The rest of the panel is okay. I see some are available for the earlier cars and wondering would anyone know if they are available for the Thirdgens.
thanks.

Re: Rear Quater Panel Patch.
Third gens don't really have separate quarter panels like earlier cars, it's all part of the unibody. There is a piece I would call the quarter panel, but it is hard to separate from the rest of the unibody structure. This is why they are not generally not for sale. The part you are talking about is probably mostly the lower trunk tub, which is actually separate.
you will need a patch panel cut to your specs, then weld it in. You won't find this listed somewhere, you will have to get someone to cut it out for you.
Luckily for you, you have found such a person!
Send me some pics of what you need and I'll see if we can get a piece small enough to ship for you. petesjeeps@hotmail.com

Here is a patch panel. Y you just use the part you need. A NOS panel will have doorjams and a b-piller section.

This is a NOS part. See the jams and B-pillar that goes up and meets the roof.. lots of extra metal for proper complete replacement.

I don't think that patch panel has what he needs, prob needs more of the tub behind the wheel well.
I'm actually welding in a similar panel I cut from a donor car right now.

Hi,
Yes the piece I need is the section behind the wheel well. I live in Ireland so don't have any donor cars here. I could buy a complete quarter panel but shipping by Fedex is $1000. It is too big to send by US post.

If you could post a pic or proper name of the part that will help us a lot!

I have attached a picture for clarity and incase this is of any help to someone else. Stealtht/a should be able to sort me out with a piece. The piece in grey primer below the lip has rotted away. The rest of the Quarter Panel is fine. No rust at all on the wheel archs.

The 1 picture I posted is a patch panel or a quarter panel skin. you just buy it and cut the part you need oof of it.

Re: Rear Quater Panel Patch.
The problem is postage. To post a full quarter panel to Ireland is $1000 by Fedex. It would be easier just to get the bottom section if one was available.
