My painting project

I decided to make one thread where I can post all of my random questions. I am doing my first whole car paint job on an 86 sport coupe camaro. Color is flame red poly with a black stripe at the bottom with two 1/2inch (silver and charcoal) vinyl pin stripe between them. I am using kustom shops epoxy primer, iso free 2k primer, and urethane bc cc.

So first question is I am changing out the spoiler for one with the third brake light. I have it off and was going to refinish underneath it. Should paint it with the spoiler on or off the car? The paint has fine metallic in it. If I do paint with it on the car should I just put epoxy primer under it or will epoxy primer not last exposed to the elements?

Second question is the old spoiler mounting bolts had the black sticky stuff around it, I am guessing dum dum, can I just use any automotive silicone around it?

3rd I cleaned the pinchweld for refinishing. Should I just epoxy prime where the windshield silicone will be or should I also use the basecoat clear coat there also? Thanks!
