T-Top Weatherstrip Replacement

Hi All,

I have purchased the Hawks T-Top Weatherstrip kit.

I live in the Raleigh NC area.

Can anyone recommend a shop to replace the seals?

Best Regards,

Bruce

Is that the OER kit? I haven't heard anything good about that kit.

It is my understanding that this is not the OER kit.

I am not sure?

Talked to Hawks before I purchased the kit. They indicated that this kit was sourced due to availablility problems with the OER kit.

That's good. You would not have liked those seals. Are you handy? They are not hard to do. Just a lot of work. If you do some reading here there are some good threads on installing them.

Re: T-Top Weatherstrip Replacement

A shop would charge you a lot of money due to the time involved. Plus, there are a lot of variables in possible rust/damage you'll have to pursue. I know; I just finished mine and it was LOTS of FRICKEN WORK!!!!!

You won't know how much till you start removing what you have and see if there's any rust, or if it's been replaced in the past and done wrong. Lining up the seals into their precise spots takes a careful eye. You need to use the correct sealant, etc. Nitro
