Converting automatic to T-5 manual please help!

Converting automatic to T-5 manual please help!

I have a 92' camaro with the stock TH700R4 in it and bought every single accesory for the swap. I know i must cut a whole in the floor under the console but what exact length and width. Its a stock t-5 thats going on. One more thing i bought a 92' manual shift plate from a camaro is this all i have to change or do i have to change the whole bottom console.

As far as the console goes you need the lower boot and the top plate. Can't help on the hole. You might check the main page, there is a tech article there that I think is pretty thorough.

Axle/Gears: 3.45 9 Bolt
No you have most if it down. What I did was bolt up the tranny, then jacked it up until it hit the trans tunnel, marked around the shifter mount, lowered the trans, then measured about 1/2-1" around the hole and put 4 punch marks, one in each corner.
Then from the inside, after the console is out, took a dremel with a cut off wheel, quite a few, cut out between the punch marks.
The upper shift plate is all that you need for the conversion.
