color change....
i am hoping to get my 91z painted within the next couple of months. what do you think about a color change. how much more of a pain is it?

A color change done right is a huge PITA. (unless you really enjoy autobody/painting)

I had the motor rebuilt so I did sneak the paint in there while it was out,,, you don't necissarily have to pull the motor to paint around it,, but it does make it easier. I also hid all the wiring so pulling the motor aided that too.
I can't think of who it is on here that has the older (firebird?) car that he painted the motor and all under the hood all while it was still in and it looks absolutly sweet.
Most of it is how much work do you feel you can tackle comfortably. Count on not saving any weatherstrip (unless it's in good/mint condition). Mine was pretty much toast so I ditched it. The biggest problem I'm seeing is I can't get the plastic trim that tops the door panel inside,, mine were already warped & cracked b 4 I went baby huey on them
