Custom Ttops on non Ttop fbody??
Is it possible to convert a non t-top Camaro to a t-top one? I know there are shops that do sunroofs and stuff like that, but can it be done with t-tops, I really want them but can't have another car. post pictures if anyone has any. thanks

search the archives on this. You will find a whole lot of info on the subject. To answer to question, it can be done, but it will cost ALOT of money, and you will almost definately have problems with it. most costum shops wont even do it, because it takes so much strength away from the car.
Sorry, i know it sucks, but what can you do?

I had mine done about 10 years ago. It cost me $1500. Some say it weakness the body. With my Trans Am Daytona with T-top (Factory). They were the same. I feel no difference. Hard tops will always have an advantange. The trade off is the open air driving.

I know eveeryone want ti b-tch about weakening the body,,, trust me,,, the car does not rely on the weak a$$ 20 gauge sheet metal roof for its strength. If you want to talk about a car that was never meant for t-tops,,, here's my crx I had for about a year,,
Yea,, I'm sure it weaked somthing somewhere,,, but the ditch I drove it thru & the RR tracks I ramped it over,,, the doors always shut perfect and I never had a prob.
who knows,,, maybe the jap cars are built better huh ?
