Regular hatch assembly to power hatch assembly

I am trying to swap my regular key-operated hatch release in my 82 T/A with a power hatch release from an 86. Im wondering if anyone has done this, and what is the best way to go about this. I dont need info on the wiring, i can figure that out cause i have the donor car, but i need to know the best way to actually remove the power release mount and the lock assembly to switch it.
Thanks

THE LOCK ASSEMBLY DOESN'T NEED TO BE REMOVED , IT IS ONLY ATTACHED BY A CABLE.
JUST UNBOLT THE OLD ONE AND INSTALL THE NEW ONE.IF U WANT TO CHANGE THE LOCK ASSEMBLY REMOVE THE CENTER SECTION OF YOUR TAILLIGHTS AND U WILL SEE THAT IT IS RIVETED IN.DRILL IT OUT AND USE BOLTS TO PUT THE NEW ONE IN

Sorry chief. It's not that easy. The cars with the power assembly have an entirely different mounting system. You would need to cut the steel mounting panel out of your car and weld in the one from a car that came with the motorized system. As soon as I got my 85 IROC I planned on moving the motor from my 86 over, and realized that it just ain't gonna happen.

Yes, all you need is a switch, wiring for it, and a mounting location for it.
