Has anybody grafted a cowl induction scoop (like the harwood z28) to a 89 or later RS hood. If so, how well did it work.

 

i had a fiberglass L88 grafted onto my 89rs [i bought it from jc whitney]. it it came out lookin pretty good. The body shop did a great job on it. Its a functional scoop too cause later on i had a vent cut out and my temp dropped a few degrees.

 

I just grafted a 4" cowl scoop to a $10 junkyard hood. Didn't actually turn out too bad. Took one weekend to do and about 30 mins with a jigsaw to cut the hood open.

Tahnks guys. Thats agood idea, getting a junkyard hood. I thinkthat what I'll do so I don't screw up the good one. I'd really like to find one thatis fibeglass. Maybe with some luck I'll come up with ine.
