Help with Convertible top release hardware

I've got some broken pieces on the rear roof release. If anyone has some pictures or diagrams of how the release rods & pin are assembled it would really help me understand what I have to fix to make this work properly. One piece I do need is the slide housing the attaches to the lift cover, someone must have tried to lift cover by grabbing the slide bar and snapped the assembly. Also I am not sure how the roof retaining clip is suppose to be attached and the activating rod positioned to the retaining clip.

Thanks.

That's the best I can do for a diag.

If you point out the #'s you need I can give you part #'s and a semi correct price.

If you run the #'s thru www.gmpartsdirect.com you can get a more accuart dealer price & the price they can sell it to you for (if you can get thier checkout to work,, I've had probs w/it myself). But they do have a parts ququest form you can fill out too. Either way you'll get a general idea of how much OEM parts will cost

It sounds as if you have a 87-88 style top latch mechanism. It changed for 89-92 to a latch that rotates to tighten the locating pin into the hole in the header. I have this style, so I can't offer a picture or help with yours. But I am posting a link to someone that is selling a tonneau cover. Perhaps he has the arm you need as well. Good luck, Lon.

Just to give a little more info, I have a 88 Iroc conv. The clip and release mech. is for the single pin holding the rear of the roof to the rear deck. It is rigged to work right now, but would like to get it working correctly.

To drop top, I have to reach behind the rear seat and twist the retaining clip to pop pin loose. Need info on the rods/slide under the rear deck.

Thanks.
