Bottom of door rotted
Is there anyway to repair the bottom of the doors i was thinking of cutting the bottom half of the door out replacing the rotted metal would this way come out cheaper or should i just try to find rust free doors an use those an rubber undercoat the inside an por-15 them as well
Re: Bottom of door rotted
I used patch panels to fix the bottoms of both of my doors. Think they were Sherman brand, bought them through Napa. I didn't think the metal was too thin, just have to take time when welding. After I had the bottoms on I used some fiberglass to seal up from the inside. I left the doors on when I did it, made it a little easier to line it all up before I tacked it on.
I also had to patch behind the mirror on the drivers side.
