Sometime this spring or summer, I'll be swapping in some fourth gen seats. Anyway, while I got the seats out, how hard or how much of a pain in the @ss would it be to take out the console so I can replace the carpet? Just in the passenger area, not in the hatch.

i think it's just a matter of removing some bolts and screws. i know there's two bolts inside the console box that hold the back down, then you have the screws up where your radio is. shouldn't be hard at all.

 

To replace the carpet, do I have to remove the radio and climate control and that part of the console?

 

i just got done doing this in my camaro and its not as hard as it looks just take your time. its only a few bolts mine was a little bit of a b i t c h because of the b&m mega shifter
