My little project
This will be the second time Ive done this I had a few kinks in the last one I made but as requested by lmancha96 Ive decided to do a build thread for it. To start youll need a something to "pop" the door open I used a clicker from my old entertainment center's door(You can use anything you want). Once you decide how to make it pop your ready to dig in youll have to remove the cap and the gas nozzle plate piece.

Easiest part is to shave the the finger notch out(I used a dremel)

DO NOT REMOVE THE GUIDE IT KEEPS THE DOOR ALIGNED

Next is to drill the hole to mount the the clicker

After drilling it youll need to heat up the spot where you drilled (keeps the screw from going to far and making it a pain to reinstall everything also doesnt leave a gap between the clicker and the nozzle plate)

One screw will not hold it in place so once you have it in place superglue it(make sure its in place before you do) dont worry about the discoloration Im repainting it when done

Then use fiberglass filler to fill in for strength/structure, then bondo over that to get a smooth finish

Oh and make sure the striker plate is in the right place glue it in
Prep,primer,paint,install and enjoy

I did it the same way as the first time? only difference is last time i had alignment issues I had to lift the cap onto the popper and then close it which was a pain this time i can just close it and push it in and it works great
