Hey guys, been a while.

Alright, you know the hood louvers in the IROC hoods? well, my pair is looking sun faded, and i was wondering if anyone has ever painted a set, or had a set painted professionally.

Just wondering how it works out, i was thinking of ordering a new set, then having a paint shop paint it a sort of shiny chrome black. if that color exists anyway!

Of course you can paint it. You will see the bolts if you pop the hood . Remove them and lightly sand them with 800 grit or so. Use a flexible primer then follow up with the paint of your choice.

Or you can also try Plastikote shiny black caliper paint available at Pep Boys

 

SOME GUY WENT BY ME THE OTHER DAY, HAD A BLACK Z WITH RED LOURVERS. I THINK HE HAD SOME RED IN HIS INTERIOR. THE LITTLE THAT I SAW IT LOOKED OKAY. I JUST ARMOUR ALL MINE WHEN I WASH THE CAR AND THEY LOOK GOOD UNTIL THE NEXT WASH.
