I want to put a pair of 4th gen leather seats in my 89 rs. Just wondering how much work needs to be done and if it is just an easy change over with out any major mods? Any help welcomed!!!

There should be a note on the front page of this site that says "4th Gen Seats Bolt Right Into a 3rd Gen!!!!!"

This one's right up there with "Can I swap my 2.8 for a 350?" on the all-time pain in the *** list.

it's not something done in minutes, but it
isn't that hard to do if you've worked on
your car a little; best bet is to check a
shop manual so you know exactly where the
bolts are(nothing hidden)...just remember
things come out easier than they go in!
i found the back to be the easiest, my only
problem was my rear seats were split and new
4thgen's don't have this option so there are
two protruding little bars that stick out
making you have to push the seats in a
little harder to lock back in place!
yes most people just cut these off or broke
the mounts, but i found with a little paint
they go unnoticable and if you ever want to
replace your seats it's not a hassle! good
luck whatever you do and the seats are a big
appearance imporvement!!

Now, now. Don't get mad at me just because you're stupid. I know you just registered and you were anxious to have people reply to your post, and everything. Next time you're itchin' to see your name on the screen, pick a less worn out topic. It just so happens that there were several posts on the same topic STILL ON THE BOARD. Now, sit down and think of some other cute question to ask so that your e-mail can blow up with reply notices and you can feel like a real human being and a member of society.
