My driver-side door is rusted to hell and the wiring from the door-popper kit I installed is showing. I went to a local junkyard and I found a nice door, but it's on a Firebird and not a Camaro and it's $100 or $75 if I take it off the junk car myself. They had Camaro doors but they were either damaged, rusted already, or had a manual window motor and my current door has a window motor (which I also replaced). I want to buy it but am afraid it won't fit. Does anyone know if the doors have the same dimensions and if the hinges are in the same place as well?

 

Everything you care about is the same. There maight be issues moutning the interior buttons and things like that, but overall the doors have the same dims. I know. I have a 1991 Camaro that has two T/A doors on it.

 

Yes. I just put a Camaro door on my TA. I had to swap one interior mounting bracket for the armrest.

You may have to add or subtract holes for the ground effects mounting.

 

Yup, it fit! Only problem is that the door I got from junkyard apparently has some rust/rot to it and the window tracks won't allow the window to go down all the way...
