145 mph 5500 redline speedo in a 305??

Hey guys I am looking at buying a 145mph speedo 5500 redline. Its out of a 350 TPI. My current engine is a 305 TBI. Eventually I would like to upgrade to the 350 TPI when I redo my engine in a couple years. My question is will this 145 5500 redline speedo work in my 305 TBI?? I know the speedometer will but will the redline also since mine isn't a 350 right now???

Thanks for all your help!!!

I can't see why it wouldn't. After all, the only thing that is different is where the redline is drawn onto the face of the guage.
