1992 Camaro Nose Emblem - How to install??

I just purchased a new Nose emblem for the front bumper but was under the impression it was just a 3M stuck on emblem like most others on the car. However I was surprized to find that this has 2 stubs on it with washer clips. Obviously this means you have to get UNDER the nose but HOW??

Please don't tell me that I have to remove the bumper just to install this??? Can you get under the nose any other way? Ie. thru the fog light opening or something?

lay under the front end, reach up through the opening in front of the radiator/behind the bumper would be my first guess

On my 85, I simply opened the hood and removed the filler plate (maybe air box in your case). Access from there was straightforward.
