I want to use the same pads just change the underpinnings,is this possible,my power seat is shot..

All you have to do is get ahold of a manual base--unbolt the seat from the car, flip it over and take out the 4 bolts that hold the track to the seat itself, put the manual one in put the seat back and your done.
Just to be safe just tuck the power harness under the rug where it won't rub on anything(not sure if pwr seat has a dedicated fuse-if it does pull it out).

 

I did it today,what a difference,now I am not laying down driving anymore!!!!!!
