Anyone performed surgery on their seats?
Anyone performed surgery on their seats?
I am going to TRY to put in a C5 adjustable lumbar system into my '88 IROC seat. I'm sure I'll have to do some customizing, but that doesn't scare me. I've never liked the fact that my car doesn't have adjustable latteral support like my brother's 88 GTA.
I just wondered if anyone has taken off the cloth and found any problems getting it back on. Or if anyone has any pointers for me, before I dive in.

Just my $.02 worth.
Don't you have any sense of adventure
I'm not going to cut anything. The seats are made to be assembled, and they can be disassembled just as easy. The hard part is putting it back together, but even that isn't impossible.
Currently I'm working on the C6 & Evoq seats, and I've seen many seats tore down then put back together. I think, with a little patience, I'll be ok. But I was wondering if anyone else has taken off the cloth to expose the foam? And how well the cloth went back on?
No guts, no glory. Besides, taking our cars apart, and putting them back together (with better/new stuff) is what us car guys are all about. Its fun.
