What to use to strip paint from GTA Aero wing?

Guys,
I have an 87 T/A with the rubberery aero wing that has bad nasty cracks in the paint. I know that to get the best paint finish, that I have to strip the paint, and sand the wing smooth to get the best possible substrait.
What method is best for stripping the paint off te wing?
I prefer chemical stripping because it creates the least amount of substrait distortion on steel, but what method or chemcial do you use to strip the paint off the rubbery aero wing? And, where can I get the required materials?
Thanks, and be cool!

I wet sanded mine--worked great too. I think that's the only safe way to do it. Takes a little elbow grease but it's worth it.

I attacked the bulk of the paint with a d/a and 180 grit. Then switched to wet sanding. Then I used adhesion promotor and sprayed it with flexible primer/surfacer and wet sanded it again (That stuff blows out like thick snots) and sprayed it with base/clear using flex additive in all coats.

I'm getting ready to repair mine. I would advise staying away from the chemical stippers. They have a tendancy to eat away at soft things, even Bondo! Just sand/DA it down and use PLENTY of flex primer.
