T-Top to Hardtop conversion
Anybody ever heard of it? If I decide to keep and fix up my IROC I will probably get a parts car. I thinking about getting a hardtop and swapping roofs if I can get my brother to do weld it.

Yeah, infact I have. There is a guy here where I go to school in NC that does them all the time. He said that he does it for much less than what you can stop leaks in a T-Top for. Basically he told me that the windshield side of the roof unbolts from the body under the hood and then you have to cut the B pillars. The weld has to be pretty exact though and while you are doing it you would have to brace the car up through the doors. I was thinking that it may even be possible to simply cut and skin in the roof sheet metal that fits in the t-top spots, that way you could get the support of the t-top frame and the hardtop frame....
