Changing bulbs in air control module???
I would like to replace the lights that illuminate my air vent/temp control module(it is the thing that sits above the radio, I dont know what they are called).
My question is, are you able to do this, or is the module completely sealed and not accessible? It seems like there are two lights that backlight the module, one on either side. My driver side one is almost out, at night when I am driving there is barely any light coming from the driver's side, and seeing as the passenger's side is much brighter it looks like crap.
Has anybody done this? Thanks in advance...

There is only one bulb in that system... Take the torx screws out of the radio trim plate, then you will see the screws for the A/C control head itself. They're metric, 7mm, I think. It's a pain to get to sometimes, but you will see the bulb housing on the upper left part of the backside of that control head. The socket is a twist-n-lock type of thing - just turn it about a 1/4 turn and there you go. Replace the bulb and put it all back together...

At best that light will be dim--actually, there's probably nothing wrong with it at all. You might consider, as I did, replacing the cluster and AC/Heater control head lights with xenon bulbs from McEwen. Big difference.
