i was wondering how wide of a tire can you put in the rear of a car without messing with your wheel wells and max height

 

You should be able to fit a 285/40R17 without any problems. You will need 5.5" of backspacing.

 

i think i saw 18 in the back before and 17 in the front

 

Anyone got pics of 285 on the back?

 

So we can go with 5.5" backspacing? I was thinking of getting 10" rims and 295/60 15" for the rear and was thinking of using 5" backspacing.

i have 265 50 15 on the back right now on 15x7 monte carlo SS rims, and i had 275 60 15 on the same rims before but it rubbed a little.
