door repair

i was wondering if anyone has replaced there lower skin below the lower body line and repaired the bottom of the door frame. i am planning on doing this to my doors and i am looking for anyone that can give advice. i am doing this because i cant afford to get a set of doors. i will try to get pic of the bottom posted qlater

here are some pics the black lines on the 3rd pic is a rough line were id cut the old piece of the door frame off and make up a panel to replace it

I've done it. Bought the patch panels and went to town. Other than finding a ton of bondo (like 3/8" thick) in the passenger side it wasn't that bad. Go slow when you stat tacking it in and jump around a lot. Don't be afraid to walk away for half an hour to let it cool down. The doors are big and it's easy to warp them with too much heat.

i also need to patch the door frame idk how hard that would be i figured out that id be replacing a 35 1/4 in long section of the bottom of the fram

1/2 an inch of the door panel is missing. at one point someone put bondo over the rust on the door frame to make it like like it was in good shape
