I have the same thing. It's not anything groundpounding, but it does have a decent rumble to it and sounds pretty good at idle. I'm sure it will get a bit louder once the cat is gutted.

Are the 80 series mufflers the same dimensions as a stock muffler. I have all new stock pipes and want to put the flowmaster on. Any help please.

The 80 series should fit in place of your stock muffler.

The 80 series does not have as big of a roar as you make it seem. It sounds a bit healthier than stock, but definatly not that much difference, especially if its added to a stock motor and stock exhaust. Also, the 80 series is shorter than the stock muffler; in order for the tailpipes to be properly spaced, aftermarket or custom pipes are needed. You cant get Flowmaster tailpipes alone without ordering the whole cat-back, which is what I suggest.

I HAVE THE FLOW 80 WITH 2 1/2 EXHAUST PIPE AND CUSTOM TIPS. THE SOUND IS A LITTLE LOUDER THAN NORMAL STOCK STUFF BUT NOT EARTH SHATTERING. MY NEXT CHANGE IS THE CAT. MY QUESTION IS IF A CAT IS GUTTED WILL IT PASS EMMISIONS IN ILLINOIS OR DO I GET THE HIGH LOW CAT? WILL THE GUTTED CAT OR HIGH LOW CAT GIVE ME THE SOUND MY CAR DESERVES?
