ok...no laughing when I bought my 89 firebird it came with sunroof....it just does not do the car justice...is there anything else that I can do with it?

Having a new roof welded on is your best bet. If you go that route you could choose hardtop or t-top. You just need a donor thirdgen. You could also find a donor convertible and go that route. Just welding up the hole will work, but you will have a very hard time making it look smooth. Not really that much harder to do it right.
