How do rear hatch louvers install?
How do rear hatch louvers install?
I am thinking of getting one, but I am wondering how they install. On the directions it says you don't need to drill holes or anything. Also, does anyone have the problem of their louvers rattling around when they are driving? Thanks a lot for the help. I really want to know about this before I purchase them.

they don't require any drilling. they'll attach by "clips" that mount at certain locations around the hatch, and the top mounts where the hinges usually are, will either mount that same way or else with the bolts that hold the hatch glass to its hinges. As far as rattle, keep 'em tight and/or use some foam strips to silence them...

Thanks a lot for the info. I have heard that they rattled a lot, but you had a great idea I never really thought of, use foam. Sounds good. I think I will get them. Thanks again!!

I have them on my car and they don't rattle. The factory set has rubber seals that sit on the window to reduce vibration. The clips attach to the window by just clipping on the edge and sticking to the glass with double sided tape. No drilling, no removing the hatch mount screws. If you get a set that requires the hatch mount screws to be removed, be sure to not overtighten them. The hatch glass will shatter when the hatch is closed or if you hit a pothole too hard.
