I looked through the board archives but couldn't find anything about removing an automatic shift ****. How do I do this? I just ordered my new carpet and will need to remove the shifter **** and take out the counsel.

if it's 85 or older just pull center button out and remove snap ring below and your done 86 or newer side facing the radio use a small straight screwdriver and pry out clip and your done. Hope this helps.
