Would it be stupis to put two layers of Carpet in my car..?? J/W

92 Camaro 305 TBI Automatic. Everything stock so far except a shift kit.
Future mods. Spark plug wires and plugs, tint, new 3inch pipes. Maybe putting 2 glass paks for effect. any other advise on getting to 300+ HP would be appreciated. Thanks

Haha, I was just wandering.. Well i started to just replace it.. and then i rode in my car for about a week with no seats no console no ac no radio no plastic carp coveing the metal. just a driver seat and seat belt.. IT WAS LOUD. put one layer of carpet in and it was better, put two in and it was pretty quiet but I noticed that noone could here anyone in the car... No im not weighing my car down at all...

System = Sony explode CD/MD receiver, Rockford 6x9 Fanatics, 4x6 Clarion in the front, 2 12" Hx2's(Rockford) in custom box(black carpet) 1 farad cap, 800x2= 932 total watts Rockford Amp 4gauge wire kit.

I did this in another car I owned (not a thirdgen). I just left the old carpet and pad in place and put the new one over everything. Quieted the interior right down so I was then able to hear all the other rattles, wind noises, etc.

Thats one of the reasons i did it, But im taking it out leaving one layer and then rplaceing my 305 with the new black carpet..... Have any suggestions and what color combos with the dark red camaro?
