If that didn't answer most of what you wanted to know & you need to find more topics like this,, right under the reply button is a link to search the forum archives. Type in shaved door handles and there should be 10 more topics on this.

Hope that helps

I really like shaved handles. The biggest drawback in my book is that you can't run at the drag strip, or so I've been told (no first hand experience with'm ).

It Is possible to do the shaved door thing, the only drawback is finding a good, strong actuator to push the door open,so that you could grab a part of the door to open it the rest of the way. What I done to mine was I bought a set of 96-98 pontiac grandam door handles, they will fit easily into the recesed part of the door with a little cutting of course. You also have to make a few connections on the inside of the door,so that the new handles work properly.Paint to match your car, they just blend in very nicely.Hope this helps or gives you an idea. ----------------------------- Bowties and Ponchos only,No blue Oval-alls allowed at this party!

Ive read the other post and seen what it takes.. But i still have questions if you help me out.. I have power locks.. Which I thought were the actautors.... if thats the case they should already be strong enough. Then you hook those up to a remote(alarm, ect) then All you need is something to push the door open right?

Of course... how would you get the door unlatched,,, is that a second actuator???

Thx
