Where is this light? Passenger side, middle? I'm thinking of putting one in-a red one on a switch, right above the Z emblem on the pass side.

The little light is in the middle of the dash pad under the lip. Pretty much directly above you AC controls. I dont know why its there, mine isnt bright enough to do anything.

This light is used to light up the A/C controls and the radio. It is supposed to be kinda bright and shine down on the controls so you can actually see them in the dark instead of grabing at the wrong thing. Hope this helps all of you.

SO IS THIS LITE A IROC / Z28 THING BECAUSE MY SPORT COUPE DOESN'T HAVE ONE? I JUST FOUND AT THE JUNK YARD A LIGHTED REAR VIEW MIRROR AND IT WORKS GREAT. BEST $1.00 PURCHASE I EVER MADE. I ALWAYS WONDERED WHY THERE WAS NO LIGHTS ON THE DASH.

No, this was not particular to just the Z28 and Irocs. I found this little light in a '87 SC Camaro, and is not the brightest light in the world, it mainly shines down on the A/C controls and the radio, can also light up things you put under it like a map if you wanted to. I always thought that was what the maplights on the mirror were for though. If anyone needs one, I have a couple.

My '91 RS has the tiny light under the middle part of the dash too. I'ts helpful when installing an alarm, you can see if your parking lights are flashing from the inside.
