Umi vs jegsters subframe connectors
Ok, so I'm turning my ttop Iroc into a targa and I'm going to be getting sfcs. Well all the searching only gave answers to not get competition engineering. So now I'm stuck between Bmr or umi at summit. Or to get Jegs ones and weld them up. I'm looking at which ones tie the car together the best. And which ones require no modding to the car chassis.

I was planning on Alstons till I seen the cost with shipping. I'll probably just get some otters right now like umi or something and later on get the Alstons.

When I had my iroc in the body shop, getting shaved...I asked them if I got some SFC if they would put them in ...so I bought the UMI ..gerat people too deal with...and I'm very happy with the SFC....body shop said they went in just fine...

Re: Umi vs jegsters subframe connectors
the umi or bmr subframe connectors would probably be to weak for a targa top since they connector to the lower control arm brackets instead of the accuall subframe. alston would probably be your best options for subframe connectors another option you have if you are willing to do work is find a convertible in a junkyard and remove all the convertible reinforcements and use them.

Re: Umi vs jegsters subframe connectors
What convertible reinforcement ???? As fare as I know, they took T-top cars...and sent them off to have the top cut off...I could be wrong, I never had a vert...But if you have pic's or diagrams showing this ...Please post them...
