How much is a fair price to ask for a Trans am hood with the four vents needs paint no rust.

 

I'd say no more than $100 to the right person...they are significantly less valuable than the 1982-84 TA/87-92 Formula hoods as they're a lot more common.

 

how much can you expect for a super nice Formula hood these days? roughly 5 years ago me and a friend sold one for $300

 

last year I sold a T/A vented hood for $250, I was asking $300 on CL And let the guy talk me down, It was in mint condition and the right color for his car. I also sold a power bulge hood for $400 in mint condition, Both hoods I payed $50. at the local salvage yard. You can ask what ever you want, I always ask for as much as I think I can get and will let the perspective buyer to negotiate me down a bit. Let them think they are getting a deal.

 

Thanks for the input. I spotted one at the yard and was wondering if it was worth trying to save. They want 45 dollars for it. I don't have a bird.

 

Yeah, I've seen several 85-92 T/A hoods at the pullapart, they get $27 for them there, but the size and weight of the hood kinda makes it hard to ship if you can't sell it locally.

 

I have just got my hands on a 83 Trans am, it has a hood with cowel but the under side is a bit rusty...How much would I expect to pay for a new hood? (cowel induction, same as Knight Rider)
