Car: 1989 Camaro Convertible
Cyberdyne.
Sorry, the picture isn't the best. My car is in the garage in the middle of doing a PSC front end kit along with a couple of other things. I don't have photo hosting so I can't directly post it, but just cut and paste this link to your browser (I don't think it will work if you just click on it).

I like them. I like to believe they are far more accurate than stock and I think they look much better than the stock guages as well.

Mine is a Nord-Skog/Intellitronix dash. I used to have the Cyberdyne dash, and I can say that the Intellitronix dash is much faster, lighter, and has more features. The only thing is installation is a REAL pain-in-the-**** compared to the Cyberdyne dash, and Cyberdyne's instructions are much better written and has illustrations whereas the Intellitronix dash does not.
I love them, but I don't think I would have paid the price they go for..

They both have a speed sender that screws inline with your speedometer cable and you run those wires up to the dash. The Intellitronix dash you have to buy seperately, but if you want you can splice it into your existing VSS signal, but in my car I guess the voltage drop was too much because the ECM wasn't getting the VSS signal anymore.

Oh my god, that is the coolest thing ever. I'm gonna try to go with a real hi tech theme in my car, and now I just added something else to the list. Will you guys quite putting expensive ideas in my head!! Now you're gonna have to tell me where you got it from and what they cost.

Vey cool, but where can I get them. Summit says they dont carry them anymore, and neither does jegs. Also do either of the gauges have an adjustable redline? Any other cool things or problems with either brand? Thanks for the info! Jered 1983SS

Hey Ragtop89 and JZA,
I have just installed the Intellitronix digital dash in my 1987 Iroc. The Tachometer is never steady enough to read and sometimes my speedometer will just start rising and falling on its own, do you have any ideas why this might be? Otherwise I love this dash.

Thor: In your other post you said you had the Cyberdyne dash. Which is it?
Anyway, your problem might be RF interference from your ignition system. You should use spiral-core spark plug wires and resister plugs, and shielded wire for both the tach lead and speedometer lead.
If that's not the problem, make sure the dash is grounded well, and that the speedometer sender is grounded at the same point as the speedometer lead (if it's a Cyberdyne).
smokn: Summit doesn't carry Cyberdyne gauges, but they should still carry the Nord-Skog gauges. Jegs should be vice-versa, but I don't know for sure since I never order from Jegs (but their last catalog had Cyberdyne gauges in it).
Don't get them confused, they are two completely different dashes by completely different companies, and I know firsthand as I've had both.
Hctv19: Got most of it from Summit, the rest directly from Nord-Skog. The pillar is Autometer, and the voltage gauge for the system is custom made. Altogether about $200 for me, but the dash regularly goes for $350 by itself.
