4th gen quarter panel problem?
hello everyone, im thinking about buying me a 4th gen camaro. There's only one thing holding me back. The guy selling the car has cut the drivers side quarter panel out of it and he went from the door jam all the way back and down to the bumber (the bumber is not cut but the cut is that far down) when i look at replacement panels it dosent seem like they go down that far...
Will i have to find a donor car and custom cut out its quarter panel to replace the one he cut out?

are you talking about the quarter or fender? if its the quarter you can pick used ones up for less then 500. withe the 4th gen quarters its probably best to replace the entire quarter it looks like if you just replace certain part you will end up with panel warpage problems

Re: 4th gen quarter panel problem?
The pictures in your links show front fenders, which bolt in and are made out of flexible rubber/plastic...hence no cutting or modifying to replace. The seller is talking about quarter panels, which are completely different (rear instead of front) and are the only steel body part on the entire car other than the hood. The quarter panels go all the way back to the bumper and all the way up to where the hatch sits.
