why are the rims rubbing?

I need some quick help, do you know if the stock 92 rims are the same sizes all around? Because I have just rotated my tires, and the tires in the front are rubbing against the tire rod. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know about camaros but the Pontiacs have an offset on have back wheels. So they won't interchange. But that is the Pontiacs

The 16" rims are specific to front or rear they are labeled so look closely and you will see.

Yeah like was said earlier the back rims and front ones aren't supposed to be changed.

to rotate, you have to take the tires off the rims and rotate them.

I never saw the point of rotating the tires on F-Bodies...

But that just might be because I've got wider tires on the rear than I do on the front

92z28,

I think this depends if you have 4 wheel discs all around or drums on the rear. I had a 91 rs and it stated on the rims "front" and "rear" on them.

Right now I have a 92 z28 with 4 wheel discs but have not checked to see if the rims are all the same. I would assume that they are.

Hope this helps!!!

Disc rears are the same rims as a drum setup. It is a back spacing issue. Think about the 15" you crank your wheel all the way, you get a rub. Go to a wider tire ie. on 16" rim and more rubbing. The rear also have to tuck in the wheel well properly and with out rubbing on inner skirt. The only way to get away with both... Different back spacing on both front and rear rims!
