List of GOOD Macco shops
I don't know if anyone has done this, I searched and didn't find what I was looking for.. but has anyone made a list of local Macco paint shops that are known to do really good work??? I live in Virginia and am planning to get my car painted. Just want a non-peeling, non-fading, no runs paint job. I'm not passed driving within 350 miles for something worth while... I have a rust free 89 IROC that I'm working on. My interior is in excellent shape, nice sound system in, mechanically runs really good. It's the GM dark red and I want it to be 2013 Nissan Altima cyanne red... Stone

Sorry that I can't help you because of location, but I will post up about the local to me Maaco that painted my car. They do great work and mix in a lot of restoration work with their insurance work. Would recommend them to anyone in the ATL. area. It's the Maaco on Acworth, GA on Hwy 41. They painted mine.

Maaco in Catonsville, MD (right off Baltimore beltway) does great work. Had them spray my 98 accord daily driver last year and it turned out great. The prepped it by sanding down most of car due to peeling clear, added pin stripes, totalling just over a grand I think with a 3 year warranty. This location has a good reputation.

"Good work" is left to perception. Best to visit the shop and see the level of quality they produce.

I'd be hesitant to recommend a place because the painter that did mine, might not be the one to do yours.
I think that you need to get out there and look at the work they are putting out. I visited one in the Dallas area and I decided to pass on having them paint my car.
