I have a 91 Formula...
It had the 3rd brake light inside, at the top of the hatch...
I'm thinking this style "window" with the bracket on the glass to hold the light was from 90 to 92.... correct?

I'm looking to get a new rear hatch and I don't want the third brake light there... The glass shop says, earlier years won't fit... Which I'm 99% sure is not true... I think the only difference is that holder for the brake light...

I've had other years glass and an OEM Notchback too...

If I order a rear hatch glass for an 89, i should get a glas with no holder for third brake light... correct?

yes any year glass will fit and it can be from a camaro or firebird , it doe not matter they are all the same shape,

 

I saw an 88 with the third brake light on top / outside of the glass...
I don't want that or any provisions for the third brake light on the glass... Just clean glass.
What year did they start using those?

 

85 no rear brake light on glass
86 brake light on the OUTSIDE of the hatch
87-90 no rear brake light on glass(on spoiler)
91-92 brake light on INSIDE of rear window

 

Too bad you're in Tmpa. Theres a guy giving one way with brake light in the spoiler in MD

 

I'm getting my car repainted and I want all new glass...
Found a local shop for just under $850 for windshield, both doors and hatch...
If only they still made T top glass
