Help replacing rear quarter panel (pics)
Hey guys, I'm just looking for a quick run down on what to do when I replace my rear driver's side quarter panel this summer. I've looked around and everything i've found seems a little vague on the process and what is needed.
I can do one of two things..I went and bought a skin that i can use OR I have a donor car that i can use the quarter off of. i'm not sure what would be the best route. If anyone with experience doing exactly this or body experience in general could give me directions that i could follow, thats all i really need at this point.
last year some idiot stole my car and went on a joy ride. they ended up going through a wire cable guard rail and hitting a light pole.
here is a pic before my car was stolen and after i got it back

know what you mean. had mine for two weeks got stolen while I was at work. They got it back as the guy was driving it into the chop shop. week later my mother in law ran into my quarter panel. now I have the entire steering column, bunch of sliced wires, pans to replace, and a quarter panel. Gonna be spending a lot of time at the junk yard

the damage on the car you would need to to use the donor cars quarter panel to much damage to the existing one you would spend alot of time using a hammer and dolly is some places and still need to use bondo to smooth it out if you used the quarter skin. this thread shows what you would basicly need to do https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/body...ter-panel.html

or you can get replacement quarter panels skins. but they are a bitch to get on, and you'll spend a shitload of money just welding the sombitch in place. I'd just go to the junkyard and remove quarter panels by spotwelds. cheaper and easier to put in
