'88 GTA - OEM Equipment - A/C Control Panel

I recently purchased an '88 GTA. It has the digital dash and odometer but the A/C control panel is manual like my Formula - is this normal? I was told that this car was supposed to have a push button A/C control panel. Also is there a site that I can purchase the original radio for that car so that I can work the controls on the steering wheel? Thanks for your help.
Shane.

No, that is not normal. That car came originally with the push-button HVAC controls as well... it was part of the U52 electronic cluster package.

Maybe somebody replaced the controls at some point due to a malfunction or something?

The OEM radio is pretty easily located... the classifieds here have them listed from time to time. Also watch eBay, as they are posted for auction pretty often there too. Just do a search under "trans am gta" and one will most likely pop up.

If you want to upgrade to a CD, then get you a PAC interface and a CD player that has a remote control... you can teach the wheel controls to work the new CD player.

Good luck.
