custom interior

i am interested in building a custom interior, and custom seat covers for my car. anybody have any ideas on how i could go about doing this. i would rather do it myself if i could then take it into a shop. what materials would i need other than 3m spray adhesive.

I am in the process of refurnishing my dash pad
It is cracked underneath and someone had glued a carpet strip over it
So I ripped it off and took all the glue off with turps
Then I bought about an 8mm thick 3m roll of foam and glued it down
I cut around the grills and the vent exits
I am getting leather to put on there and getting black or chrome grills to go over the top
Then my friend is going to make me a little bow tie logo that I am gonna stitch on in the middle of the pad
