Help with headlight switch

Help with headlight switch

ok, i am replacing my gauges with white faced gauges. right now the 92 rs is sitting in the driveway all apart. i cant figure out how to remove the headlight switch to get the cluster out. i took the dash pad off but still cant seem to get at it. i also removed the lower pads where ur knees are when u are driving. i cant get out the cluster with the headlight switch blocking it. please help with quick answers. thanks!

If your switch has the pull **** like the older camaros (and most old GMs), there's a button on the switch unit itself that you have to press while pulling the **** out. You'll have to unplug the switch to turn the lights off. there is a nut that then hold the switch to the plastic) I assume that's what you were asking about ? (I've never paid attn to the newr dashes in the junkyards)

Theres a trim piece that goes over the gauge cluster and the switch. You have to take it off first.

i removed the trim plate but i cant get the cluster out because the pull headlight switch is in the way. there is no notch or button to push on to take off ****...i cant figure out how to remove it...
