i have a 91 trans am GTA
driving on the interstate yesterday to get my car paint job estimated my tailight cover just the back part with the different colored lenses and grid cover fell off both of them, i have no idea why they fell off. but if i dont get them replaced then i cant drive and if i cant drive i cant do my job because my job involves driving alot which means no money which means no spoiler no hood and no paint job. please someone help me.

 

Take off your rear hatch int piece,the one that covers the hatch release.There should be some black rubber nuts or somethin like it,thats what holds onto the tail lens.Someone probally took them off and didnt put them back on.If so you have to go to the j/y to find some.

Looks like someone has to go to the junk yard.....fast! That really sucks-I'm sorry I dont have tail light lenses laying around that I could overnite to you or something. It's always something-just like my tranny last nite. Good thing I always have spares!

 

Are you saying the outer lens seperated from the lamp housing ?

Break out the hot glue gun until you can get some new ones.

 

its the tail light cover seprate from the housing but the lenses went with the cover so what do you mean when you say hot glue gun. someone help me im putting my job on the line by not being able to drive.

 

Red lense tape at wal-mart.

Fast.as.fuc, replace the whole lens. Don't do the glue thing unless you have no choice. Email me and I will give you the number to someone that has the whole lens at a great price.

get that walmart temporary tape. you cant get a ticket for it, but you cannot get an inspection sticker with it. it is legal as long as you use it as a temporary fix
