Custom taillight panel

Anybody ever build one? I figure Ill make one out of sheet metal. It should be pretty easy to get it to fasten over the lights and center piece. Maybe vette style lights? Any input?

I cant look worse then the cheap, secioned off plastic they put on them. I'm just trying to improve on the many cheap, garbage designs thought up by the losers who decided that quality didnt matter to the consumer.

heres a thought go looking through a "trucking" mag Like mini truck of something and buy a lighted rool pan. Cut to fit the straight area then make fill panels for the side. Thats what I was thinking of. but I saw a truck with a 48 inch single line LED brake light that I love the look of. To make a fibergalss panel is easy then cut out what is not needed.

I think sheetmetal would be the way to go, every now and then pics of the startrek camaro, it has vette taillights in it and looks really well done. so far it's the only one I've seen that's been done right.

There, found it, not the best car, but it has some interesting custom things on it.

Thanks for the picture. That car is awfully pathetic looking, but I do like the lights. Thats how I thought about doing it. I want the sheetmetal to go in towards the light. Thanks again. Ill opst pics if I get it the way I want it.
