protective door molding

I have rust starting on my door and I was thinking of sanding it down and Painting it. The only thing is the protective door molding things. They run down the middle of the door and are about 1" wide. I saw that they were glued on. Do they make glue that glues them back on, so I can peel it off, re-paint, then glue it back on. IF they do make it were could I get some.(NAPA...)

The (urethane/rubber or whatever it's made from) moulding should be held on by double sided trim tape. The tape is available just about anywhere that carries car stuff, made by 3M (usually), even Wally-World (Wal-Mart)
