Does anybody know the height of the cowl of thesed ASCDs hoods? I like the big block better but it looks like it might be really tall compared to the SS hood. Also, what's the difference between the TPI and carb versions of the SS?

I have the big block hood and its a 3" cowl hood....the picture that ascd pts out for it makes it look real tall ad thin...here are some pics of it on my car...

I have the big block hood also, and I think it is a little taller than 3 inches. It may be 3 on the outside but it goes up in the middle.



From pics I have seen of the SS hood, it looks really short. I'm not sure about the differences, but if I had to guess, I would say that the carb hoods are a little wider and have the opening more toward the back.

 

I have the big block hood 2 i just haent installed it yet (workin on makin it functional 1st)

but yeah, its about 3"

 

I think the SS hood is about a 2 incher...

I'm glad NCZ28 posted the pic of what it looked like from inside though....

some gauges might look purty in there hehe

I plan on getting a bigblock hood too... they're just much more appealing than the SS hood to me.

the TPI / Carb SS hoods aren't really that much different at all btw... I think its just something on the underside placed a little differently
